Apple Cider Vinegar

If there was a health equivalent of the 7 Wonders of the World, Apple Cider Vinegar would be at the top of the list! Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is most commonly used in salad dressings, but its uses are endless and could surprise you! Check out some of its uses below:

Detoxification and Weight Loss

ACV stimulates your lymphatic system which can help with digestion. Drinking ACV first thing in the morning is an excellent way to jumpstart your body’s cleansing function. One way to enjoy ACV is to fill a glass with water, add about 2 spoonfuls of ACV, some honey to taste (and reduce some of the bitterness) and you can even play with adding some lemon for a real health kick! Notice how this gives you tons of energy as well!! In addition to cleansing the body, ACV balances the pH of the body, helping it to maintain a healthy alkaline level.

Skin and Hair

Along with balancing the pH of the body on the inside, ACV does the same for the body on the outside! You can make a facial toner out of it by diluting it with 2 parts water, and using a cotton swab to dab it on your face. ACV is also said to reduce the appearance of age spots and acne scars. You can also make a hair rinse to add body and shine to your locks! Some people have ditched hair conditioner altogether and rely solely on the combination of DIY baking soda shampoo and ACV conditioner.
