Clean Your Home Naturally

Environmental toxins are responsible for many health issues seen today. We recently shared a recipe for natural shampoo and conditioner that you can make from baking soda and apple cider vinegar. Here are a few recipes for some cleaning products that you can make for your home using things you may already have in your kitchen!

Here are some basic things you may want to stock your kitchen with if you are looking to clean your home naturally.

  • Vinegar (White or Apple Cider)

  • Baking soda

  • Lemon juice

  • Hydrogen peroxide

  • Rubbing alcohol

  • Castile soap

  • Essential oils

Dishwashing Liquid

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup liquid castile soap

  • 1/8 cup water

  • 4 drops essential oil (scent of choice)

  • 1 tsp of vinegar

Mix and store these items in an old bottle of dishwashing soap or in a glass container with a pump. Citrus oils work really well for washing dishes and keeping them fresh.

Toilet Cleaner

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of baking soda

  • 10 drops of tea tree oil

  • 1 tbsp of castile soap

  • 4 drops of essential oil (scent of choice)

  • 1 cup of water

Mix and store in squeeze bottle. You can also make a paste of the baking soda for a deeper cleanse.

All Purpose Cleaner

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of vinegar

  • ¼ cup of baking soda

  • 1 tsp lemon

  • 10 drops of essential oil

  • 1 cup of water

Mix and store in a spray bottle. Use this for cleaning countertops, furniture, and even your refrigerator.
